Among Us prove they're not the imposters after all

Beyond the Summit Pro Series Season 3: Southeast Asia has
given us nearly two weeks of Dota 2 action so far and, while the group stages
have come to an end with some really surprising results, we still have playoffs
to come.

Over the last nearly two weeks, we’ve seen a lot of huge
roster changes from nearly every region in Dota 2 and Southeast Asia had definitely
seen some interesting changes made within some of the best teams in the world.
One of the biggest things has been the emergence of the team named after the recently
popular, “Among Us” game – who have basically showed us how just having fun can
make you one of the best teams in the region. Among Us is formed from players
of multiple different teams such as Evil Geniuses, Vici Gaming, and ex-Fnatic
and Geek Fam members – all going into the BTS Pro Series Season 3: SEA
tournament just to have some fun.

As the group stages came to an end today, AUs went almost
entirely unbeaten in their 18 games, dropping only a single one to Neon
Esports. Knowing full well that when this tournament comes to an end, players
on the squad would be possibly leaving, it’s quite amazing that these five
players have come together and destroyed nearly the entire SEA region.
Inversely, Fnatic have fallen a long way in recent times, going from an
entirely dominant force in the region this year – to their roster falling apart
and unable to find their footing.

Winning a total of two games only, Fnatic finished in dead last, with Execration following shortly behind them and the two teams being eliminated from the event. The rest of the group ended with BOOM, TNC and Motivate.Trust taking the remaining upper bracket spots – while Neon Esports, New Esports, 496 Gaming and 032 will fight through the lower bracket.

Playoffs for BTS Pro Series Season 3: SEA kick off tomorrow with some extremely hype rematches including the likes of Among Us taking on Motivate.Trust Gaming in the upper bracket. It will be extremely interesting to see if AUs can take their roster all the way through to the grand finals and lift the trophy over the next four days or if the likes of TNC Predator and BOOM Esports can finally take down these fun-loving Dota 2 juggernauts of SEA.
