Black Ops Cold War AK-47 loadout has a broken recoil pattern

Since the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, one weapon has slowly been creeping up the popularity charts. While many players are still using the FFAR 1 and MP5 most of the time, the AK-47 is beginning to see more and more action. Some fans have discovered that the classic Call of Duty weapon features both high damage and great accuracy at all ranges. Although leveling it up makes it the best version of itself, the AK-47 is still a great base weapon. However, if you have leveled it up, then you might want to try this broken loadout that has a strange recoil pattern.

The broken AK-47 loadout in Black Ops Cold War

Though most of the loadouts you can make for the AK feature low recoil, there’s one that’s been discovered that offers no recoil whatsoever. Instead, the pattern seems to be backward for the vertical recoil. In every other case, vertical recoil is meant to kick your gun up. However, with this loadout, your gun actually kicks down, allowing for much better accuracy.

The class set-up was originally posted to Reddit by a Black Ops Cold War player. In the post, the user showcases a video that demonstrates just how broken the recoil is.

  • AK-47 has negative vertical recoil with attachments? 🙂

In the video, the player is simply holding down the fire button and the AK-47 isn’t moving whatsoever. The recoil pattern is a tight circle, and that’s without moving the aim button. This is presumably not supposed to be happening.

The attachments used for the loadout are as follows:

      • Muzzle: KGB Eliminator
      • Barrel: 18.2 VDV Reinforced
      • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
      • Magazine: VDV 50 RND Fast Mag
      • Handle: GRU Elastic Wrap

There’s no clear indication as to what attachment really makes the gun kick in strange ways. However, it also seems that equipping any additional attachments won’t feature the same result as the video shows. If you want to try out this loadout, we recommend doing so sooner rather than later. It’s likely Treyarch will see this set of attachments and realize the recoil isn’t doing what it’s intended to be doing.
