Online chess platform Chess.com has signed a partnership deal with gaming chair company Secretlab. The company’s brand will be featured on Chess.com broadcasts and be incorporated into Chess.com’s streamer program, which includes more than 200 streamers on Twitch.
Chess has seen a surge in popularity on Twitch in recent months led by Chess.com’s Twitch streamer tournament series Pogchamps. Last week, chess Grandmaster and streamer Hikaru Nakamura signed with Team SoloMid as a competitor.
In August, Chess.com signed talent agency Rumble Gaming to assist in developing its brand activation and sponsorship strategy.
Secretlab has partnerships with a number of teams and organizers in esports including Riot Games, Activision Blizzard, Team Liquid, and Cloud9.
