Over the last few days Team Aster have confirmed their new Dota 2 roster with three players departing from the squad, including Kee Chyuan ‘ChYuan’ Ng – who they have now given a statement on.
After winning the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3 back in March of this year, Team Aster have not had the best of times within the regional events – with their best finish being third place at the recently concluded DPL-CDA Professional League Season 2. With that, the team have recently confirmed their new roster’s lineup after Song ‘Sccc’ Chun asked for his contract to not be renewed. The team have now also released a statement on their previous mid-lane player: the Malaysian player Kee Chyuan ‘ChYuan’ Ng, who has been moved to inactive on the roster after being replaced by Liu ‘白学家’ Yuhao.
In a post made on their Weibo account, Aster state that ChYuan has decided to not continue playing Dota 2 in the China region and thus his contract will be frozen. They continue on to say that he can look for new opportunities in Southeast Asia or any other region and that moving forward, the organisation will give the player all the necessary support that is possible to find a new roster to join.
Aster’s new roster was recently confirmed by Xu ‘BurNIng’ Zhilei
on a stream, where two Royal Never Give Up players were announced to be
joining, while Pan ‘Fade’ Yi would also no longer be on the roster. The full
new Aster roster is:
- Du ‘Monet’ Peng
- Liu ‘白学家’ Yuhao
- Lin ‘Xxs’ Jing
- Ye ‘BoBoKa’ Zhibiao
- Jiang ‘天命’ An
It will be interesting to see where ChYuan ends up, with the possibility of many SEA teams now available to the mid-lane player – especially considering recent roster changes within the region. We will keep you up to date on any new information that comes out pertaining to this player and others who have left their rosters in recent times as it becomes available.
