As we are about to kick off the Dota Pro Circuit for 2021, Fnatic’s position one player, Marc Polo “Raven” Luis Fausto, reaches the amazing milestone of 11,000 Matchmaking Rating.
Last year we begun to see a string of players from across the globe reaching the milestone of 11K MMR in Dota 2, beginning way back in May and stretching through the entire year – culminating with players even obtaining the achievement on smurf accounts. Now, as the Dota Pro Circuit Regional League Season 1 is about to kick off, Fnatic’s brilliant position one carry player, Marc Polo “Raven” Luis Fausto, has confirmed that he too has now reached this milestone.
11k in 2021 🤣
In a post made via the players Facebook page, Raven shows off his newfound peak and a list of some of his best and most-played carries, including Morphling, Slark, Faceless Void and Invoker. For Fnatic, this start to the year for their player is a huge positive, after the team took a nearly three-month break towards the end of 2020, returning only for the final Southeast Asia event of the year – only to place in a hard-fought fourth place.
Although Fnatic did receive a direct invite into the upper division of SEA’s DPC League, they will definitely still have a tough time with the likes of TNC Predator, T1, BOOM Esports and a host of other teams ready to stand in the way of their 2021 progression. It is also possible that for the remainder of the League season, we begin to see far fewer players obtaining the 11K milestone as teams and individuals focus more on the returning DPC rather than personal best goals.
That said, Raven is certainly not the last player which we will see earning this achievement and it will be interesting to see who else joins the 11K MMR Club as the 2021 DPC season gets underway.
