Staz at Hearthstone Hearthstone Masters Tour Ironforge
As for the first game of the day, it was between Yashina “Alutemu” Nozomi and Euneil “Staz” Javiñas. The opening decks were Alutemu’s Libram Paladin and Staz’s Whirlkick Rogue.
Staz’s won with his Rogue deck, as he was able to consistently clear the board throughout the match. While there was hope near the end, with Alutemu healing on his ninth turn, it was not enough. In round two, Staz brought in his E.T.C. Warrior deck. The deck had potential to win with a combo, however, there was also a chance of achieving victory through gaining early tempo.
Yet Alutemu’s Whirlkick Rogue deck and aggressive combos were able to hold up against his opponent. The Questing Adventurer continued to get buffed in the later turns and was used to go face. Although Staz got rid of that card, Alutemu was able to tie the score 1-1.
In the third round, Alutemu faced his opponent’s Warrior deck once again. This time, he brought back Libram Paladin. In the late game, he played Pen Flinger to continuously go face. However, Staz was able to win the round with the E.T.C., God of Metal, Inner Rage, Bloodsworn Mercenary and Animated Broomstick. With that, Combined with Shield of Honor and a hit to the face with Rattlegore, he achieved victory.
The fourth match of day two’s starting Swiss round concluded with Staz’s Libram Paladin winning against his opponent.
