Riot Games Southeast Asia has partnered with Philippines campus esports program Esports AcadArena to develop collegiate esports initiatives in the country. The partnership will kick off with the inclusion of Valorant in AcadArena’s University Alliance Cup. The companies will also collaborate on programs for Legends of Runeterra and eventually for Riot’s mobile iteration of League of Legends: Wild Rift upon its release.
AcadArena has developed a number of scholastic esports initiatives in the Philippines, including a merit scholarship program. The company also serves as a campus esports strategic partner for Globe Telecom and Twitch Student in the region.
