Suning Gaming Signs KFC, Roewe as Sponsors Ahead of Worlds 2020 Finals

Chinese esports organization and Worlds 2020 finalist Suning Gaming has signed KFC  and automobile brand Roewe as sponsors. Financial terms and duration of the deal were not disclosed. It is also unclear what kind of jersey placement these brands will have at the League of Legends World Championship this weekend.

The Yum! Brands international restaurant chain and automobile brand owned by Chinese automaker SAIC Motor joins other companies and brands such as Nvidia, Logitech, Huya, Skyworth, Eleme, Yep Yipai, and TUMI as sponsors.

Suning Gaming, which plays in China’s LPL, will face off against LCK team DAMWON Gaming in the grand finals on Saturday in Shanghai. Suning Gaming beat out TOP Esports in the semi-finals to make it to the final leg of the international League of Legends esports competition.

Earlier this month after Suning Gaming beat JingDong Gaming (a team owned by the e-commerce company’s competitor) during the knockout stage, Suning Vice President Kangyang Zhang celebrated by issuing ¥100M ($15M USD) in e-commerce vouchers, and 1K “free-of-charge opportunities” to Suning users.
