Suning has announced a new partnership with global fast-food chain KFC ahead of the League of Legends World Championships Finals on Saturday.
The partnership, which was announced via the organisations official Weibo account, sees KFC join the likes of Suning.com, Skyworth, Logitech, Huya, and Nvidia among other as the team’s commercial partners.

According to the post, a range of fan engagement opportunities, which as giveaways and other activations, are expected to be implemented throughout 2020 and beyond.
Financial details regarding the partnership were not disclosed.
This isn’t KFC’s first foray in sponsoring and Chinese organisation with the brand having been previous partners with RNG in 2018. Moreover, China’s official league of legends tournament, the LPL, is also sponsored by the fast-food brand with KFC’s Colonel Sanders being featured during broadcasts.

This year’s League of Legends World Finals, which is being hosted offline in Shanghai, sees Suning face off against LCK’s DAMWON Gaming.
It was announced earlier this month that the finals between the two sides will feature crowds for the first time this tournament. The LPL revealed that a limited capacity over 6000 people will be in attendance at the Pudong Football Stadium.
Social distancing protocols and other safety regulation will be implemented throughout the finals.
Esports Insider says: KFC teaming up with Suning ahead of the World Championships is a massive deal for the esports organisations, especially since the fast-food brand is well established in the Chinese League of Legends scene. Overall, this deal is a win-win as KFC gets the opportunity to further promote its brand whilst Suning adds a major partner to its commercial portfolio.
