Last March, TwitchCon canceled its Amsterdam event that was scheduled for May 2-3 because of the same health concerns surrounding COVID-19.
Twitch noted that there is a possibility that the Amazon-owned company is looking at other ways in which to create an alternate event that would undoubtedly be done online. While no specific details were given, the announcement states more information will be forthcoming.
Last year’s TwitchCon event held in San Diego saw more than 28,000 people participate in the biannual video game streaming cultural convention.
