After the confirmation of old eLeVeN’s
return to Vici Gaming came through a short time ago, the organisation have now
announced their full new roster – with a noticeable player missing from the
team.
Vici Gaming’s roster was down to four earlier this month when Zhou “Yang” Haiyang left the roster but an announcement from earlier today confirmed his replacement as Ren “old eLeVeN” Yangwei. While the announcement put the team back up to five strong, the latest announcement from the Vici Gaming camp has seen one major change on the squad as Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun is no longer on the roster.
Announced via the team’s Weibo account, VG’s new roster includes the ex-Fnatic and currently Among Us player, Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon, as well as someone who will play as a stand-in for the upcoming China Dota2 Pro Cup. With the current COVID-19 pandemic still having a global impact, 23savage will not be able to join the VG squad until a later date. For Eurus, it would seem that he will no longer be a part of the squad of his own choice and the team have stated that they will be assisting the player in finding a new home.
23Savage is a talented young man, reaching the top of the ladder at 14 years of age. He is also the 20th player in the world to reach 10,000 MMR and in July he reached 11,000. During the online competitions, he also won 5 consecutive division titles.
However, due to the ongoing epidemic, 23Savage’s visa is still being processed. VICI Gaming strictly abides by the epidemic prevention regulations and cooperates with him to complete the relevant entry procedures. It is expected that 23Savage will arrive in China late-October/early-November. During that period, VG will have the pleasure of having Erica (former core of Keen Gaming).
Lastly, Eurus (Paparazi) has confirmed that he will not be rejoining VG’s lineup for the new season. VG is cooperating with Eurus in search of his new home club and we’ll be announcing something later.”
The full new Vici Gaming roster,
with the current stand-in, is:
- Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon
- Yang “Erica” Shaohan (stand-in)
- Zeng “Ori” Jiaoyang
- Ren “old eLeVeN” Yangwei
- XIong “Pyw” Jiahan
- Ding “Dy” Cong
Vici Gaming will be playing at the
upcoming China Dota2 Pro Cup, with their stand-in, in just two days, with teams
such as PSG.LGD, Invictus Gaming and EHOME all part of the same event. It will
be interesting to see just how they function with their new squad and we will
keep you up to date on any and all information to come out from Eurus and the
rest of the Chinese Dota 2 teams.
