The latest event on Pokémon Go will feature water-type Pokémon. From Aug. 23 at 4 p.m. ET until Aug. 30 at 4 p.m. ET, more water-type ‘mons will spawn in the wild and more will hatch from eggs.
Magikarp, Wooper, Wailmer, and other water-types will spawn more in general, with Wartortle, Poliwhirl, Seaking, Lapras, Qwilfish, Mantine, Lotad, Feebas, Piplup, Buizel, and Finneon spawning more frequently around bodies of water. Very lucky trainers will be able to encounter Shiny Carvanha and Shiny Barboach in the wild as well.

Water-type Pokémon will also be included in raids and from eggs and on Aug. 28, the Legendary Raid Hour from 6-7 p.m., Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf will spawn in tier five raids depending on your region. Azelf is in the Americas and Greenland, Uxie is in the Asia-Pacific region, and Mesprit is in Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa.
There’ll also be doubled hatch candy, and water-types set as your buddy Pokémon will earn double candy. Kingler and Crawdaunt will also be able to learn Crabhammer starting now, a water-type charge move.
