  • Looking for the best Xbox deals, including on the powerful Xbox Series X or the lightweight and affordable Xbox Series S? Well, look no further. No matter which of these current-generation consoles you’re looking for, we’ve compiled a rundown of how to avoid paying full price for the latest kit from Microsoft.

With the hotly-anticipated Starfield launching on consoles, PC, and Xbox Game Pass – the Netflix-like games subscription run by Microsoft for its players – coming very soon, there’s never been a better time to jump into the Xbox ecosystem. To coincide with the release, Microsoft has launched a slew of limited edition hardware as well as an all-new iteration of its best-selling Series S console.

The Xbox Series X|S were both launched back in 2020, providing tough competition for Sony and its Playstation 5. After a few years of scarcity, these consoles are now regularly available to buy in-store and online. And for the first time since the launch of these generation of consoles, there are some incredible Xbox deals starting to appear for bargain hunters too.

Are these PS5 competitors worth buying? Well, our Xbox Series X review and Xbox Series S review have all of the answers.

We’ve looked at retailers such as Amazon, GAME, AO, Currys, and other stores so you can get the best value on your shiny new gaming console. And without a doubt, the best deal goes to Microsoft, which is selling refurbished Xbox Series X consoles for just £419.99. That’s a saving of £60 – enough to treat yourself to a game or extra controller (there is one in the box).

If you’re worried about buying refurbished – don’t worry, Microsoft engineers have worked on the console and as such, they will honour the same 12-month warranty as a brand-new console. You’ll even get a 60-day returns period if you managed to find the Series X cheaper somewhere else!

Fancy a PS5 instead? We’ve already got a roundup of the best PS5 deals that you can grab right now.

Best Xbox deals for Black Friday

If you want to save your pennies but also want a great gaming bundle, this Microsoft offer is worth considering.

You get a refurbished Xbox Series X console and the newest Call of Duty game for £379.

The console has a 12-month warranty and undergoes rigerous testing by Microsoft.

If you don’t want to buy a second-hand console, EE is selling the same bundle for £409.

It’s a great deal for a powerful console and one of the newest Call of Duty game that has just come out.

If you’re not a fan of Call of Duty or fancy a bit of variety, GAME is selling the bundle with Diablo IV thrown in as well.

You’ll pay a bit more but you’ll also get a free hat as well!

If you have been looking for some great deals for Black Friday – look no further as there are some great bargains to be had especially if you want an Xbox Series X.

With the steep retails of the Xbox Series X, it has been hard to find a good deal for the console but Black Friday 2023 has changed that.

The best deal we have found is an Xbox console is the Xbox Series X and Call of Duty Modern Warfare III game for £379.99 from Microsoft themselves.

The catch is the console is refurbished – but never fear as they have a great 12-month warranty if something goes wrong and Microsoft assures customers that its certified consoles go through “rigerous” testing.

EE Store also has the same bundle for £409 but you get a brand new console if you don’t fancy buying refurbished.

Argos also has the same bundle as well as Amazon if you find that they sell out quickly or if you own Amazon Prime and want speedy delivery.

However if you’re not a Call of Duty fan, GAME is selling Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Diablo IV for £429 – you also get a special Captain Price hat if you order the bundle.

    Best Xbox Series X deals

Xbox Series X has a recommended UK price tag of £449.99. Microsoft allows new customers to unlock access to one-month of Game Pass Ultimate for just £1

The Xbox Series X is the most powerful console that Microsoft has to offer. It’s immensely powerful, surprisingly compact compared with the latest console from Sony, and available at a lower price tag.

Powering the Series X is an eight-core AMD Zen 2 processor – capable of outputting an astonishing 12 teraflops of power – coupled with 16GB of RAM and 1TB custom-designed SSD. The result is an astonishing amount of power, which enables next-generation features like 120 frames-per-second, 4K picture quality, and ray-tracing.

If you want to read more in our Xbox Series X review and what we thought, you can do so.

But as mentioned above the best Xbox Series X deal is the refurbished console directly from Microsoft but they sell out fast.

But if you want a brand new console, the next best deal goes to the Amazon bundle which includes Forza Horizon 5. There’s another great deal with the newest Diablo IV game which costs slightly more at £474.

Amazon is selling an Xbox Series S included with Forza Horizon 5 for just £469.

It comes with all the DLC and add-ons as well so you can enjoy the game without buying anything else.

Fancy playing one of the biggest games released in 2023?

Well you can do so thanks to this Diablo IV bundle from Amazon which also includes next day shipping if you have Amazon Prime.

    Best Xbox Series S deals

This budget-friendly console shares a number of features with the Xbox Series X, despite being almost half the price. As well as playing the same library of games, the Series S supports 120 frames-per-second gaming and Quick Resume. It also unlocks streaming from Netflix, Prime Video, and Sky Go.

The Xbox Series S is perfect for gamers who don’t need all the crazy power of the Xbox Series X but still want to enjoy their favourite games. We praised its compact size, stylish design, and access to Game Pass in our Xbox Series S review.

But the console is compatible with the latest batch of games from Microsoft including Starfield and third-party studios, it supports cloud gaming so you’ll be able to stream the latest blockbuster titles without waiting for a download to complete, boasts apps for your favourite streaming services, and supports 120 frames-per-second gameplay.

Again, the best deal you’ll want to go for is a refurbished console from Microsoft for £209 as it comes with a 12-month warranty and 60- day returns.

But keep a look out as some retailers can sometimes offer the console for FREE like Virgin Media during one of its recent campaigns.

One of the biggest catches of the Xbox Series S is the limited 500GB space but a new version is set to release very soon with 1TB worth of space for £299 if you need the extra space for games.

You can buy it now for £299.99 directly from Microsoft. Most games can take up 100GB worth of space per download so it’s important to consider.

The best Xbox Game Pass deals

Xbox’s Game Pass is Microsoft’s “Netflix” of video games.

For a monthly fee, you can choose from a whole host of games to play including new games such as Starfield, Gears of War, Forza Horizon, Halo Infinite and more.

You can either download the game or depending what version of Xbox Game Pass you have, you can also play the games on the cloud which means you don’t need to worry about game clogging up your storage space.

Xbox Game Pass also allows you access to EA Play at no extra cost. It means you can enjoy games such as fan-favourite series like Battlefield, FIFA, Dragon Age, The Sims and many more without paying out more than you should.

If you’re a fan of Riot Games franchises such as League of Leagues and Valorant, signing up to Xbox Game Pass means you can unlock agents, champions and enjoy free XP boosts as well.

And if you have a PC or don’t own an Xbox, you can play all the games you would on an Xbox on PC as well. That means enjoying new releases like Starfield for much cheaper than buying the game outright.

The best thing is if you own Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, it carries over to both PC and Xbox so you don’t need to worry about buying it twice as it works seemlessly on both platforms – just makes sure you log on the same account!

The good news is you can get Xbox Game Pass codes for cheap thanks to sites like CDKeys. At the time of writing, you can get a month of Xbox Game Pass for just £7.99 – compared to the full RRP of £12.99.

Get Xbox’s Game Pass Ultimate for just £8.99 thanks to CDKeys and enjoy downloading and playing games for free.

It works with both Xbox owners and PC owners.

You can either stream them from the cloud or you can download them without paying full price.

Enjoy games like Starfield, Gears of War, Halo and more.

If you own a PC and want to download the game, you can get the PC Game Pass directly from Microsoft – but you won’t be able to stream the game!

It costs just £7.99 to buy and you get access to 100s of games.

Where can I pre-order the new Xbox Series S Carbon Black?

The newest Xbox Series S is on the way to the UK which is being named as Carbon Black which is set to release on September 1 for a price of £299.99.

Because the Xbox Series S is a digital-only console, you massively rely on the internal storage space inside of the console to store games and other media.

Which is why Microsoft decided to release the Series S but with a whopping 1TB worth of storage space.

The console is perfect if you don’t want to spend more than £400 and thanks to its portability, you don’t need to worry about it towering in your home.

And thanks to Xbox Gaming Pass and Xbox Gaming Pass Ultimate, you can choose from a massive vareity of games to download and play – without the worry of buying discs.

If you want to pre-order the console, you can do so from Microsoft itself for £299.99 but there are other retailers are are also selling the console including GAME, Currys and Very.

Get the newest Xbox Series S console for £299.99 with a super-fast 1TB SSD.

That means plenty of free space to play all the games you want as well as the most current next-gen games like Starfield.

How do I expand storage space on my Xbox Series X/S?

Unlike the PS5, the new Xbox consoles have a unique way of expanding storage if you find that your console is running out of space with all the games and the media you have.

Some games can take up to 100GB or more in some circumstances so the 1TB of space you already have on your Xbox Series X can get eaten up very fast.

But there’s some alternatives to consider. One of them is the Storage Expansion Card that works for both Xbox Series X and Series S consoles which comes in 512GB, 1TB or 2TB options.

The best deal we have found for the card is from Very who is currently selling the 1TB storage expansion for £149.99 compared to £179.99.

It means if you already have 1TB on your console, the card will allow for double the space for more games and media to be stored on your Xbox.

But if you want to go all out, Amazon is selling the 2TB expansion card for £307.99 so you’ll (hopefully) never have to worry about storage running out on your Xbox.

There’s also a cheaper option of the 512GB expansion card for £89.99 from Currys – but you might find the extra space will get eaten up quickly so a larger capacity card might be a better option.

Expand the space in your Xbox Series S or X with the Xbox Expansion Card.

This 512GB is the cheapest card out there and a good budget-friendly option if you’re running out of space.

If you want to expand your storage space even more, Very is selling the 1TB expansion card for £149.99.

It’s perfect and gives you plenty of space for your games and media on your Xbox Series S or X.

If you really want to go all out with storage, you can get the 2TB expansion card from Amazon.

It will give you TONS of space for your Xbox Series S or X so you can enjoy filling it with all the games you want.
