Developers Sledgehammer Games have released a new Call of Duty Vanguard update today but have not released a firm list of patch notes.
It’s unclear why, although the team pointed out that some changes will be found on the game’s Trello Board.
Hopefully, in the future, more news will be shared in the usual way when a new Call of Duty update is launched, like with Warzone and Cold War.
For now, we know that the Combat Shield will now offer more protection when stowed, a bug that left some gamers confused about the weapon’s effectiveness.
A message from Sledgehammer Games provides an overview on what they are working on for future patches too, telling fans this week:
“Players can expect general performance improvements, fixes to some spawn bugs, weapon progression bugs, and Combat Shields will now protect when stowed.
“We want to thank all our players for the feedback we’ve received over the last week. While not in the latest update, we are investigating spawn issues on Dome, more challenge progression bugs, featured playlist queue issues, infinite armour, and much more.
“For a rundown on the top changes made in today’s update, and to view the issues we’re tracking, check out the Vanguard Community Trello board.
“This is not a complete list of everything we are working on, just the issues that appear to be affecting our players the most and we will continue to update.”
Other changes that have been listed by the team on Trello include the following items:
- Tradeoffs on barrels, magazines, and stocks have been reduced.
- Hipfire spread has been adjusted on most guns (mainly to add more consistency across weapon categories).
- Effective Range of most Shotguns, SMGs, and Pistols have been reduced (SMGs and Pistols were overperforming at range and Shotguns were adjusted down due to increased lethality overall).
- Certain Weapons cannot be accessed in the Loadouts/Gunsmith after Level 66.
1911 Pistol will now progress past Level 50.
- Operator challenges appear to be reset after completing them.
- Unlock requirement for weapon challenges displaying incorrectly.
- Legendary Covenants: Some players do not receive Legendary Covenant options.
