Activision has announced that Season 3 of Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone is coming on April 27, after a new cinematic trailer released this week revealed the date.
But the launch timing is far from the big talking point, as the developer appears to be teasing some sort of arrival or collaboration with Godzilla and King Kong.
The two monsters have previously been featured in crossovers with PUBG Mobile, but this was around the time of the most recent movie release.
Whilst there's no obvious reason for the collaboration to happen in Call of Duty Warzone right now, renowned leaker Tom Henderson has reported that something has been in the works for quite some time.
The trailer in question, which you can watch just above, shows a team of soldiers finding Nebula bombs and warning they're about to be released by Nazis (obviously).
“But what none of us knew was that a storm was on the horizon,” says the trailer narrator.
“With Nebula, the Nazis had unwittingly shaken something awake, something far more powerful and fearsome than anything we could ever hope to comprehend.”

Notably the trailer ends with a strange noise, which has also been posted to Call of Duty's Twitter feed.
This lead to some fans passing the audio through a spectral analysis machine, where they discovered a hidden message.
As you can see from the tweet below, it appears to say, "Monsters are real".
We imagine we'll see plenty more teasers in the next two weeks as we lead up to the release of the next season.
