With only a few weeks left to run in Season 2, it looks like Activision has plans to add a few more modes before moving onto Call of Duty Warzone and Cold War Season 3.

Big changes are being planned for the next season, with the latest reports indicating that Verdansk will be getting a Black Ops makeover.

There’s also a chance that a special Zombies event will be released before April 21, which is when Cold War Season 3 is expected to start.

And a new leak shared this week reveals that we could be getting a few other limited-time modes coming our way very soon.

According to data miners, Call of Duty Warzone could be receiving a new night mode before Season 3.

But this time, it will be focused on Rebirth Island, following a successful launch in Verdansk last year.

It should be noted that this isn’t being shared by Activision at this time and all rumours should be taken with a big pinch of salt.

With so much stuff about to happen in Warzone, would it make sense to release a night mode on Rebirth?

Or could this be part of the much bigger event being planned for Warzone, providing something new for those who enjoy playing Rebirth Island over Verdansk?

If something like this is being planned and is part of the upcoming Warzone event, we might start hearing more about it very soon.

With a massive map revamp on the on cards, there is only a short period before Season 2 is replaced by Season 3.

And there is always the chance that a night mode for Rebirth Island is being planned for later in the year.

For now, we expect Activision to start sharing its plans for Warzone and the future of Verdank over the coming week.

The current Zombies event continues, with the Undead hordes now festering at SuperStore, there are still a few other locations they could appear in before things kick-off.

The latest message covering the Zombies confirms that the threat level is rising, adding:

“This update to 66% is also in line with the Emergency Broadcast System issuing another contagion warning within Verdansk’s western sector below the Airport.

“According to central command, this appears to be concentrated within the long-vacated Atlas commercial structure within the region.

“Similar to prior correspondence, we are aware that numerous forms of this hostile force have manifested and that they should be neutralized immediately. We will not issue any demerits for avoiding this area entirely but encourage any and all efforts to contain this threat within this zone.

“More importantly, I want to further assure you that everything is under control. This anomaly will be defeated, much like the nightmares of October and the observable dissolution of Armistice prior.

“As we once again join forces to fight this new threat, it reminds us of our duty to bring back the alliance that once strengthened us.”

And if a big Warzone map revamp is being planned, gamers can expect a big patch to land sometime before the end of April, including full patch notes explaining all the big changes.
