Thirdverse and inXile have finally set a launch date for their upcoming competitive shooter, Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds. The VR title is planned for a December 1 release on both Steam and Oculus, and it will be compatible with a variety of headsets including Oculus Rift, HTC Vive VR, and Valve Index.
The main draw of Frostpoint VR is its tactical 10 vs 10 combat. You’ll need to work with your teammates before heading out to the battlefield, where you’ll be tasked with capturing objectives, eliminating your opponents, and staying alive at all costs. But other players aren’t the only threat – you’ll also stumble upon various NPCs scattered across the maps that aren’t aligned with either faction. They won’t hesitate to attack anyone that comes close, making it dangerous to venture out into the wild without a plan.

Once the game launches, you’ll be able to participate in a multi-week Leaderboard Challenge event, where the top players will earn prizes such as a GeForce RTX 3080, Oculus Quest 2, and even some Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds merch.
Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds will be available on Steam and Oculus on December 1. For more info on the upcoming title, check out its official website.
