GTA 6 leak reveals release date, map size, female character and more

If you've had enough about dreaming about Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to PC or even a potential Bully 2 release than you're in luck because a new GTA 6 leak is always just around the corner.

The latest leak, originating from the GTA 6 subreddit alledgedly claims that the game will be set in not one, but two cities, and will also feature two main characters (one male and one female).

That's just specifics, but the key info fans might be intrigued most by is the promise that the game would be announced in fall 2020, potentially with a view to a 2021 release for the game.

On top of this, the leak goes on to suggest the map size of GTA 6 could be "four times the size of GTA V."

All features which are sure to be like catnip to Grand Theft Auto fans looking for a brand new, bigger, better GTA experience having waited since September 2013 for a new entry in the series.

The Reddit user in question, Temperaturerising45, also suggests some pretty radical gameplay changes which include a more significant emphasis on interior locations.

From what's being suggested, not all locations will be accessible, but more obvious buildings, such as malls, police stations, fast food restaurants, and gas stations will allow players to enter.

It's also suggested that the game will be set across two main cities: Las Venturas (based on Las Vegas) and San Fierro (based on San Francisco).

As previously mentioned, it's also suggested that the games main storyline will be built around two characters and not three like we saw in GTA 5.

What's potentially more interesting is that we would see one male and one female lead character sharing the spotlight.

It's all very… interesting, but for the time being it's hard to decyper between a genuine leak and an enjoyable bucket list of key gameplay features that anyone could have typed up and posted on any social channel.

As we've mentioned before, it's worth stressing that whilst the likes of Reddit, 4-Chan and pastebin are certainly not the highest of high bars when it comes to leaks, there's still a history of some leaks from these sources turning out to be legit.

Just look at the map for Red Dead Redemption 2 which leaked two years before release, or even the map from Apex Legends.

It's impossible to say with any clarity at this early stage, but it's always fun to dream of the potential features that could be coming got the game.

I don't expect you to believe me, which defeats any real desire to prove myself. With that said, take it as you may.

Expect an announcement around Fall 2020

Game will feature San Fierro and Las Venturas. Map is about four times the size of GTA V. Expect the return of landmarks like Area 51, Hoover Dam, etc… A few new ones I've seen are a flea market, an amusement park, and a Zoo.

Two protagonist, one male, and one female.

Heavier emphasis on interiors. Nowhere near every building but there's a mall, police stations, fast food restaurants, gas stations, things like that.

Two different types of gun stores. Ammunation sells normal guns like Pistols and sniper rifles, while "underground" stores will sell crazier things like rocket launchers and satchel charges.

Random events are way more interesting and bountiful. I've seen people having a funeral at a graveyard, chasing a dog that got loose, a family camping with an RV.

Heist return and are largely similar but they're more like optional side missions.

Businesses/real estate are back at a larger degree, complete with their own mission lines. There's a casino, a trailer park, nightclub, etc…

There's minigames like carnival games, Hunting, bowling, gambling, and boat rafting down Rapids.
