GTA 6 release date news is today headlined by a bitter launch blow as it looks like the next game Rockstar are releasing is not the new GTA.
GTA 6 is one of the most highly anticipated games for the PlayStation and Xbox, despite not officially being announced by Rockstar Games.
It’s been almost six years since GTA 5 was first released, marking the longest wait ever for a brand new Grand Theft Auto game.
This year rumours about GTA 6 have gone into overdrive as fans have been left wondering what Rockstar is working on now Red Dead Redemption 2 is out.
Rumours have been swirling that GTA 6 could be launching as early as 2020 and that it’ll be a timed launch exclusive for the PS5.
As fans wait for official word on GTA 6 some major Rockstar Games rumours have emerged.
An alleged leak has claimed to have revealed details about the next game that Rockstar are planning on launching.
However in a blow to fans of the Grand Theft Auto series it looks like the next title from Rockstar Games will be Bully 2.
According to dedicated Bully YouTube channel SWETGA, an insider has revealed details about the next title Rockstar Games is planning on launching.
In a post online entitled ‘Bully 2 in 2020?’ SWETGA said a source they have been in contact with for quite awhile revealed the news.
The Rockstar insider claimed the upcoming game will be a cross-gen title and that it’ll be out in holiday 2020.
The source said: “The way they [Rockstar] are going about this has completely changed.
“As it stands, they are aiming to release their next game during the holiday season in 2020 (most likely October or November).
“I can’t say for sure, but that appears to be the current state of planning.
“Basically, what they want to do is release their next upcoming game on next gen hardware (PS5 and the new Xbox), as well as on the current gen”.
And piecing hints together, SWETGA put a case forward that the next title could be Bully 2.
SWETGA mentioned the painting found within the GTA Online Casino update which could be hinting at at a Bully sequel.
The painting features the same four symbols that can be found on the Bullworth Academy crest. This includes a fist, a snake, a rat and a skull.
Furthermore, some fans on Reddit believe that the painting also contains morse code.
SWETGA also pointed towards the revolver found in Red Dead Redemption 2 which featured ‘Canis Canem Edit’ engraved on the barrel.
And they also mentioned a prior alleged leak from tweeter and former Rockstar Games insider @Yan2295.
The post in question claimed that Bully 2 was in development and would be released after Red Dead Redemption 2.
