The new Pokemon Centre pop up store in London opened on Friday.
But the huge event at Westfield White City (Ariel Way, Shepherd’s Bush W12 7GF) was so popular that people were queuing for hours to get into the new store.
In fact, the queues were so long that the store had to close due to demand. A message from Westfield White City read:
"Queuing for entry to the Pokémon Center London is now closed for the day. There is a limit of sales on some items to ensure as many customers can enjoy the experience and the products available."
And in a follow-up message the shopping centre also added (and warned prospective shoppers) with another message:
"We’d like to thank all of the Pokémon fans that made the trip to Westfield London for the Pokémon Center London pop-up store opening today 1/3"
"The interest in the shop launch has been unprecedented- we’ve never had a queue this long before. We’re grateful for you patience and understanding as our team endeavoured to keep the line moving throughout the day 2/3"
"Please be aware that due to the incredibly high demand, we’re expecting a similar level of attendance again tomorrow 3/3"
So anyone looking to attend the store today, Saturday October 19th, would do well to turn up as soon as the store is open to get in line.

"We'd like to give a huge THANK YOU to all of the Pokémon Trainers who are visiting us at #PokemonCenterLondon ! You are THE VERY BEST. Starting tomorrow we’ll be adding some further purchase limits in-store."
"We’re aware there are plenty of Pokémon Trainers still eagerly awaiting their visit, and we’re doing our best to ensure everybody will have an enjoyable experience with us."
