Newest Silent Hill rumours say it’s playable, Kojima not involved

There are still rumours of a new Silent Hill game in the works and apparently it’s in a playable state and there is a demo.

There were rumours flying around a couple of months ago that Konami and Hideo Kojima were collaborating on a new Silent Hill game.

Konami swiftly denied such rumours, but they kept coming, insisting that a PlayStation 5 remake was in the works.

Now, some more information has been shared online by Twitter user AestheticGamer, who’s proven quite the inside source for survival horror games, including Resident Evil 8.

They also state that a new Silent Hill game is coming, but offer some slightly different details on what’s going on.

For starters, they claim that Kojima has no involvement with the project, meaning it has nothing to do with Silent Hills.

Previous rumours have said the same thing, but AestheticGamer adds that the game is now in a playable state, with a demo set to be released after an official announcement.

The new game is supposedly still a PlayStation 5 exclusive but AestheticGamer describes it as a reboot, not a remake, implying that it is a new game entirely.

As it stands, though, none of this can be considered fact until we hear some sort of confirmation from Konami, which some suspect might happen at the PlayStation 5 games reveal.

While Konami did deny the original rumours, a representative said merely that it was not ‘completely closing the door on the franchise, just not in the way it is being reported.’
