It’s always rude to stare and even in the post-apocalyptic world of Death Stranding there’s consequences if you don’t stop…
Death Stranding is already one of the most anticipated games of the year, especially after everyone got to see the massive 48 minute long gameplay demo from the Tokyo Game Show last week.
But more videos have been unveiled during the course of the weekend and one in particular, showing off Norman Reedus’ character Sam in more detail, has been attracting a lot of fan attention.
Uploaded by GamersPrey YouTube it shows off another hefty 30 minutes of gameplay, and this is where things get weird.
A rather beat-up looking Sam is sitting on a hospital bench when around the 2.25 minute mark the woman demoing the game starts pointing the camera at his crotch.
Sam gets rather uncomfortable with the situation and covers his groin, but they continue to stare. Sam insists the player only looks at his face and nowhere else, but they don’t stop and Sam ends up punching the ‘camera’ to make his point.
It’s exactly the sort of weird detail Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima likes to add his games and comes hot on the heels of the ‘weaponised’ peeing mechanic which caused a giant mushroom to appear in the previous demo.
Death Stranding is the biggest PlayStation 4 exclusive this Christmas and is due to be released on 8 November, so there’s plenty of time for more unexpected revelations before then.
