Paradise Killer Brings Open-World Crime Solving To Your Doorstep On September 4

Open-world crime thriller Paradise Killer will be heading to PC and Switch on September 4, 2020. Developer Kaizen Game Works, in collaboration with publisher Fellow Traveler, have shared a new trailer that gives us a short look at the art style and general gameplay feel of this unique combination of genres.

You can currently pre-order the game on the Nintendo eShop and receive a 20% discount on its price. This offer will be active until September 11, 2020. On Steam, the game will launch with the same discount that will run until September 18. If you’re interested in giving the game a shot, a demo is currently available and will be a part of the Indie Arena Booth at gamescom 2020.

Revealed earlier this year, Paradise Killer won’t follow the formula set out by titles like Phoenix Wright or Danganronpa. This is more like a mixture of Ubisoft’s sandbox maps with old-school Carmen Sandiego. You’ll be traveling around a world that looks like California and putting together clues to solve mysteries. It sounds like a really solid way to mix-up the tired open-world template.

Paradise Killer is certainly one of the more interesting open-world games I’ve seen in a while. I may be tired of the average Assassin’s Creed formula, but I’m willing to give a title like this a chance.
