The start date for the new PlayStation Store January Sale has been announced by Sony, and gamers won’t be waiting long.
According to a new email from the tech giant, new PlayStation deals will go live on December 22.
Past years have seen significant discounts launched on leading games, and there is no reason to believe that won’t happen in 2021.
No hints have been shared regarding the games that will be included, with Sony sharing this week:
“Our January Sale is going to be so huge we just can’t keep it wrapped up for much longer.”

“Get ready to enjoy spectacular savings on games and add-ons. Join us from December 22 to find out exactly what’s on offer.”
While we don’t know what games will be included yet, Ubisoft has already shared Far Cry 6 will be among the discounted titles.
Last year’s event also included a deals refresh, with many new games added to the list of existing discounts for the final weeks.
Last year’s event also included the PlayStation Store offering a limited-time PS Plus discount.
This was made available for two weeks and meant you could save 25% on a 12 month PS Plus membership.
Could the same happen this year? PlayStation Plus fans will hope that they get another chance to reload their subscription at a lower price.
