At the PlayStation State of Play stream this evening, Sony unveiled what games you can expect to go live in October as part of your PS Plus subscription.
As we were expecting, there was a showing from Naughty Dog during the stream, where the release date for The Last of Us 2 was (finally!) revealed.
In keeping with the Naughty Dog theme, one of the free downloadable games in October will be The Last Of Us Remastered – a great primer for you if you’ve never played the original, or you want to refresh your memory ahead of the sequel’s release in 2020.
The other free game you’ll be able to download is best-in-class baseball sim MLB The Show 2019 – something that may be a little lost on the UK readership here.
But, as we're reliably informed by formed Officialy PlayStation Magazine editor Ben Wilson, is a cracking series.

Both titles will be available to download from October 1st, and then both games will rotate out of the free download window on November 5th.
In order to access to these games, you will require an active PS Plus membership subscription.
