While Sony and Microsoft work on providing more Xbox and PS5 stock during 2021, there are hopes of further updates this month.

For now, we know that there are two new stock drops being planned in the UK before the end of the month.

And fans are hopeful that new Xbox Series X stock will emerge at leading retailers this month, following a familiar pattern.

In the past, big PS5 stock drops have been followed by Xbox Series X restocks, and the same could happen in November.

For now, we know that GAME will offer at least one more PS5 restock later this month, following an earlier shipment release.

The latest information suggests that the next PS5 restock will happen around November 19, and will come before another one from John Lewis.

The news has been shared by PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter – which is known for providing the best guides on what’s happening next.

They confirmed during the weekend that John Lewis would be offering a shipment of next-gen consoles during November, although not this week.

The restock isn’t predicted to happen for a few weeks, the good news being that more retailers are expected to be added to the list over the coming days.

The message posted on Twitter by PS5 Stock UK reads: “GAME now out of stock! Until next time. Probably 2-3 weeks time. Let’s see what’s in store for us on Black Friday.”

There are also reports that Sony has made some big plans to bring as many consoles to the UK as possible via air transportation, so there could be an increase in restocks before the end of the year.

The same has not been said for Xbox Series X stock, although PlayStation restocks are usually followed by something from Microsoft.

Knowing when a PS5 restock is happening can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.

PS5: Sony unveil pricing for PlayStation 5 console

And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings.

AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out.

GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The next PS5 restock is expected to happen during the middle of November 2021.
