State of Play PS4: Ghost of Tsushima, Resident Evil 3 Remake, Crash Bandicoot

State of Play is returning with rumoured PS4 announcements on Ghost of Tsushima, the Resident Evil 3 Remake and Crash Bandicoot. The final PS4 State of Play broadcast is taking place this Tuesday with the PlayStation Direct-style presentation kicking off at 2pm UK time. And according to the rumour mill Sony looks set to end 2019 with a bang by announcing some surprise new games and giving an update on a big exclusive. Here’s all you need to know about the upcoming State of Play broadcast…

Ghost of Tsushima fans could finally get an update on Sucker Punch’s next title during the upcoming State of Play broadcast.

The last time Ghost of Tsushima made an appearance was back during E3 2018.

At the major gaming expo in LA last year a stunning gameplay trailer for Ghost of Tsushima was showcased.

But since then there’s been radio silence on the PS4 exclusive with no new images or footage of the title emerging.

  • PS5 games list already looks unbeatable: Is Xbox 2 doomed to fail?

But that could all be about to change with the upcoming State of Play.

Around the time that the PlayStation style-Direct was announced last week something curious was spotted which could hint at a Tsushima update.

Tweeter Nibel spotted that around the time State of Play was confirmed the official PlayStation YouTube update their Ghost of Tsushima playlist.

This could be a sign that the PlayStation YouTube channel is preparing for another Ghost of Tsushima video to drop.

If Ghost of Tsushima does make an appearance during State of Play then it’s possible a release date for the PS4 game could get confirmed.

Ghost of Tsushima is rumoured to have a late 2020 release date on the PS4.

  • Resident Evil 3 Remake LEAKS: PS4 Nemesis appears on PlayStation Store

Last week cover art for the Resident Evil 3 Remake leaked on the PlayStation Store.

The artwork debuted the new look Jill Valentine along with RE3’s Carlos Oliveira and the terrifying Nemesis enemy.

And it’s believed that the Resident Evil 3 Remake will be appearing during the upcoming State of Play broadcast.

Tweeter @New_WabiSabi previously correctly leaked a tonne of E3 2019 announcements before they were made official.

And Sabi has now claimed that the Resident Evil 3 Remake is planned to be a big reveal in the upcoming State of Play broadcast.

They posted: “In case anybody is STILL doubting it, yes, RE3 is planned to be a major reveal of the upcoming State of Play.”

Rumours have been sparked that a new Crash Bandicoot game from Activision could be getting revealed soon.

The news was sparked after influencers have recently been receiving merchandise of Crash Bandicoot out of the blue.

The merch which has been posted on social networking sites shows Crash Bandicoot getting into the festive spirit and wearing a Christmas hat.

This is of note though as last year Crash Bandicoot Christmas cookies were sent out ahead of the Crash Team Racing reveal.

However, it seems more likely that the new Crash Bandicoot will get revealed at The Game Awards 2019 instead of during the upcoming State of Play.

This is because CTR was revealed at the Game Awards last year.
