Steam Black Friday Sale starts today – what time do the deals go live?

The much-anticipated Steam Black Friday Sale is expected to kick off today, Tuesday, November 26.

Even though Black Friday itself is a few days away, it’s not uncommon for companies to run longer sales for the massive event.

Steam, Valve’s video game digital distribution service, holds massive sales at certain points in the year.

It’s the perfect time to treat yourself to some new games in the lead-up to the holiday season.

But Valve never reveals when the sale’s will be going live beforehand.

However, we have a pretty big hunch the Black Friday sale will kick off today, curtesy of the Steam Database .

Although not affiliated with Steam, the Database website has a good track-record when it comes to predicting the Steam Sale.

What time is the Steam Black Friday sale?

Steam sales usually go live at 6pm GMT, and we expect the Black Friday sale to be the same.

The website whenisthenextsteeamsale.com also predicts this is when the deals will go live.

The website, which features a handy timer, shows the remaining estimated time until the sale.

While this isn’t officially confirmed by Valve, both websites have a habit of correctly predicting sales.

On their website, it says: “Valve never announces Steam sale dates up front, but Steam sales return every year in a relatively stable frequency.

“Based on date from the last few years, the upcoming sale dates are predicted.”

The Steam Database Twitter Account said the “Autumn Sale”, as they named it, would run from November 26 until December 3.

The tweet said: “Multiple developers posted it in multiple places despite Valve asking otherwise. But you know how that goes”.
