Steam sale fans should soon see a whole host of new bargains go live, when the Steam Black Friday sale (aka the Steam Autumn sale) begins. Black Friday 2020 is only a few days away, with this year the huge post Thanksgiving and pre-Christmas sale taking place on Friday November 27. And in the run-up to Black Friday officially taking place the next big Steam sale is expected to begin.
Valve don’t typically announce start dates and times for their next Steam sale but fans usually have a pretty good idea of when to expect the next big batch of bargains.
Steam users typically known when to get their wallets ready for the next big Steam sale thanks to leaks, or looking at release schedules for previous sales.
So far there haven’t been any leaks about the Steam Black Friday 2020 sale (also known as the Steam Autumn sale) but it is expected to take place shortly.
The Steam Black Friday 2020 sale should either begin on Tuesday November 24 or Wednesday November 25, with a start time of 6pm GMT for the big Autumn sale.
We say either as the Steam Database website pencils in the Steam Autumn sale as taking place on Wednesday November 25.
However, last year the Steam Autumn sale took place on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving – so this would be a slight change-up in scheduling.
We’ll have to keep an eye out and wait and see, but either way it looks like the Steam Black Friday sale will be happening soon.
For those in the States, the start time for the Steam Black Friday sale will be 10am pacific time and 1pm eastern time.
The launch of the Steam Autumn sale should also see nominations revealed for the upcoming Steam Awards.
Last year nominations were revealed in November with voting taking place in December during the Steam Winter sale.

It remains to be seen what games could be getting discounts in the Steam Black Friday sale, but typically Steam sales bring reductions to AAA titles as well as indie games.
Last year the Steam Autumn sale slashed the prices of games such as Gears 5, Code Vein, Cities: Skylines and The Crew 2.
