Steam Singles’ Day Sale has up to 90% off PC games, ends tomorrow

You’ve still got time to take advantage of the Singles’ Day sale on Steam, which despite what the name implies lasts longer than 24 hours.

Although Singles’ Day is a popular holiday in China, where it’s already associated with shopping, it’s not something you normally hear about in the West – but it might net you some cheap games PC games today and tomorrow.

Singles’ Day is officially 11/11 but it doesn’t actually end on Steam until Tuesday, 12 November at 4pm (it also managed to start at the same time on Sunday).

You see a list of all the bargains here on the Steam website, but some of the best ones include Jurassic World: Evolution at 70% off, What Remains Of Edith Finch at 40% off, Castle Crashers at 80% off, and the, admittedly rather old, Stronghold Crusader 2 at a massive 90% off.

Despite the whole Singles’ Day motif there doesn’t seem to be much connection between any of the games on sales, so it’s hard to say whether it’s trying to encourage people to stay in and enjoy some alone time or not.

But other significant discounts include Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 at 80% off, Planet Coaster at 70% off, Cities Skylines at 75% off, and Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales at 50% off.

Of course, the sale everyone’s waiting for at the moment is Black Friday, but that long ago evolved beyond just a single day and has now become more like Black November.

It’s on 29 November if you want to keep your bargain hunting limited to just one day though, when there’ll no doubt be another Steam sale as well.
