The Last Of Us PS5 Remake Could Launch At The End Of This Year
Naughty Dog is being pretty coy about the projects it has in the works at the moment, but we know one of them is almost certainly a remake of The Last of Us. It's been heavily rumored for quite some time, but those rumors may finally come to an end soon as the game is reportedly set to launch later this year. This is according to industry insider Jeff Grubb, who recently claimed that the PS5 remake will launch this holiday season. If this is true, then we won't have to wait too much longer for an official announcement.
Daredevil Is Getting A New Series On Disney Plus
After appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home, many have been wondering whether Daredevil would be getting a new series now that Disney has wrenched the character from the grip of Netflix. Turns out, yes it will, as a new series is currently in the works at Disney Plus. We don't know much else about the show other than it's currently being worked on, although we do know that the duo behind Covert Affairs, Matt Corman and Chris Ord, will write and executive produce the show respectively.
The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Upgrade Launching Q4 2022
It seems like the wait for The Witcher 3's next-gen upgrade has been going on forever, but developer CD Projekt Red has narrowed down the release to Q4 2022. The upgrade has undergone several delays since it was first announced back in March last year, but CD Projekt Red surprised everyone with a new release window for the game's seventh anniversary. We can now expect to fight the Wild Hunt in 4K at the end of this year, barring any further delays.
Embracer Sees "Great Potential" In Remakes And Remasters Following Tomb Raider And Deus Ex Acquisitions
The future of both Tomb Raider and Deus Ex is pretty uncertain after Embracer's recent acquisition, but the publisher has revealed that it plans to utilise these new franchises to the fullest. In its most recent earnings call, Embracer explained that it sees "great potential" in not only sequels to its newly acquired franchises, but in remasters and remakes as well. There's a lot of well-loved games in the Deus Ex and Tomb Raider franchises ripe for a remaster, but it'll probably be a while before we see anything actually announced.
Cal Kestis Is Reportedly The Protagonist Of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Finally, we have yet another rumored detail regarding the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order as Cal Kestis will reportedly be the main protagonist of the game. This news comes from insider Jeff Grubb, who also recently claimed that the sequel will be called Jedi: Survivor and will launch in Early 2023. Probably not too much of a shock to some, although another report from Star Wars site Bespin Bulletin hinted at the possibility of there being a second playable character.
