Thor: Love And Thunder Trailer Shows Off Gorr The God Butcher For The First Time

MCU stuff has been coming at us thick and fast lately. However, Disney has done us the courtesy of leaving a couple of months between Multiverse of Madness and the end of Moon Knight before dropping its next blockbuster. Thor: Love and Thunder hits cinemas on July 8, a movie we know surprisingly little about. We have now gotten a much better look at it thanks to what could well be the last trailer we get before Thor 4 arrives on the big screen.

The last trailer for Love and Thunder ended on a rather buff-looking Jane Foster, making her debut as The Mighty Thor. Natalie Portman gets a lot more screen time in this new trailer as she teams up with the OG Thor in an attempt to take down Gorr the God Butcher. Gorr was suspiciously absent from the last trailer but is very much front and center in this new one.

Gorr is played by Christian Bale as more and more top-tier Hollywood stars make their MCU debuts. As the character's moniker implies, Gorr has one goal in the MCU. To kill all of the gods who reside within it. Gorr can be heard saying, “you're not like the other gods I've killed,” revealing that his attempt to kill the two Thors isn't his first rodeo.

That spells bad news for Russell Crowe's Zeus who was also shown off properly for the first time in this new trailer. The Aussie was only shown from behind in the last one. Zeus is surrounded by women, looking down on a chained-up Thor. The God of Thunder is in disguise and Zeus uses his powers to flick off his clothes but flicks a little too hard leaving Thor naked. That's right, Chris Hemsworth hangs dong in the MCU. Well, hangs pixels by the looks of it. This is still a comic book movie after all.

Aside from the exciting MCU debuts of Bale and Crowe, Love and Thunder will also include a lot of returning characters. The last time we saw Thor in the MCU he was jetting off with the Guardians of the Galaxy. They'll all be in attendance for this next movie, presumably as they try to track down Gamora. Korg, who was one of the best things about one of the best MCU movies so far Thor: Ragnarok, is also back, as is Valkyrie who gets a lot of screen time in the new trailer. Thor: Love and Thunder will be in cinemas from July 8, 2022.
