The annual Running of the Gnome race will once again see thousands of pink-haired Gnomes rush across a mystical terrain to raise money for breast cancer research.
On October 12, World of Warcraft gamers will use their online play-time for good.
The Running of the Gnome will benefit The Pink Fund, which is a group “committed to providing financial support to help meet basic needs, decrease stress levels and allow breast cancer patients in active treatment focus on healing while improving survivorship outcomes.”
The yearly migration has been so popular with the community that Blizzard honoured the event with a Micro-Holiday called the Great Gnomeregan Race.
