E3 2020 Schedule: Every Confirmed Press Conference Start Time So Far

E3 2020 is still a few months away, but some game companies have already begun announcing their plans for the big gaming showcase. The expo itself takes place from June 9-11, but like previous years, it’ll be preceded by a slew of events and press conferences hosted by various publishers.

Physical game distributor Limited Run Games has announced it will once again hold its own E3 press conference. The briefing is scheduled to take place just ahead of the expo proper, on Monday, June 8. This makes LRG the first company to date its E3 2020 press conference, but more will undoubtedly follow suit in the weeks and months to come. You can see all the E3 2020 press conference times that have been announced so far below.

The full list of exhibitors for E3 2020 has not yet been revealed, but one company that we know won’t be in attendance this year is Sony. For the second year running, PlayStation is skipping E3. The reason for this decision, the company explained, is that it “do[es] not feel the vision of E3 2020 is the right venue for what we are focused on this year.”

In lieu of attending E3 2020, Sony says it will be “participating in hundreds of consumer events across the globe” this year to promote PS4 and PS5. “Our focus is on making sure fans feel part of the PlayStation family and have access to play their favorite content. We have a fantastic line up of titles coming to PlayStation 4, and with the upcoming launch of PlayStation 5, we are truly looking forward to a year of celebration with our fans,” the company said.

While Sony may once again be opting out of E3, Microsoft confirmed it will be at the show. “Our team is hard at work on E3, we look forward to sharing with all who love to play what’s ahead for us,” Xbox boss Phil Spencer said. Microsoft hasn’t shared any other details on what it has planned for this year’s E3, but it will likely revolve around its new Xbox Series X console, which is launching later this year. In recent years, the company has held its E3 briefing the Sunday before the expo begins and has hosted a variety of fan events during the show.

Other publishers that typically host E3 press conferences and livestreams include Ubisoft, Square Enix, EA, Bethesda, and Nintendo, although none have shared their plans for this year’s expo yet. We’ll continue to update this list as more companies announce their E3 2020 press conference dates and times ahead of the show.
